Welcome to

The Gweeby Awards!

Wait!! Before you throw something at your monitor, hear me out!  The Gweebys will run sort of like MTV's awards shows, with categories that are sort of out there. If you want to award a Gweeby to a certain song or scene, send it to me, and I'll post it here.  A few stipulations, though:

- Be creative, not negative.  Those kind of things only give an opinion without backing it up.  Instead of categories like "Worst Episode", how about "Episode that Dragged on Forever".  Also, avoid categories of "Best" anything for the same reason.

- We're bound to come up with some of the same categories.  Either check out what's previously been added and reword yours a little, or I'll just add you to the list of "presenters" for that one. If you don't want me to use your real name, make one up (but keep it clean!).

- You can do it by email.

Okay, that's it !  Go ahead and start awarding!  Let me start you off with some presented in ceremonies held before this page was created:

The Gweeby for Most Melodramatic Fantasy Sequence goes to: 1988's Think (song 4, ep. 83, S.5).  In a post-apocalyptic world, the Kids hide from Riley and the principal (guest star Alaina Reed Hall), who are squelching their free speech.   Between the somber visuals and quotes from Abraham Lincoln, this number predicting what would happen if Ryan couldn't put his opinions in the school paper paints adults in a dictatorial light, and adds unneeded drama to the situation.

For Most Inappropriate Song: You Want This, performed by Haylie, Nicole, and Ana (song 1, 143-9-93).  In reality, Janet Jackson and friends park their cars in a circle and tease a bunch of guys.  On a children's show, three underage girls really shouldn't be advertising like that, I don't care if it was the 90's! Have you ever listened to the lyrics?

Presented by ElephoneFan:

The Gweeby for Season-to-Season Amnesia goes to: 88's cast!  Accepting the award are Stacy, Ryan, and Riley. Connie's time machine (91-5-88) was just as effective as Riley's (44-2-85), so why would they dismiss it? Unless my fanfic was correct... But I do agree that Dorf was the funniest spaceman Stacy had met, seeing as how he didn't try to kidnap anyone (11-1-84).

For Songwriting that Should Stay Anonymous:  Who Wrote The Song? (song 3, 80-5-88). I don't think we want to know who wrote this one! Although it's most likely the same person who wrote the bully-bashing rap (song 3, 99-6-89).
