Kids Inc. Off-key

I realize now that of the few gripes I have with the show, only some of them are merely irritating. There are moments, however, that are inconsistent with the show's preestablished storylines - mistakes.

When the Kids discover Riley has a hidden agenda (ep.54, S.3,'86), they come across papers containing a mixture of letters and numbers which Ryan decides is, "obviously some sort of code."  Obviously Ryan is in Stacy's math class, because a boy who reads computer textbooks for fun ought to recognize Algebra, even if he isn't taking it yet.  So should Gloria, for that matter.  Our tax dollars really should go towards school funding...

Continuity errors run rampant in Season 3. There's a scene in episode 55 that particularly "caught my eye", so to speak. Remember when most of the Kids are watching Riley demonstrate his ill-fated ice cream truck? Renee is completely tuned out, doodling in her notebook. Notice anything missing from that scene? Like her glasses? Nervousness wasn't the only reason she dropped her notebook and bumped into Jules - he was in her blind spot! (lucky for her, her hair doubled as a crash helmet!)

Bad math headlines at The P*lace.  Apparently, they hoped us viewers hadn't seen The Beginning (1983), where Stacy is identified as being 8 years old.  Two years later, however, going to rich kid's birthday party (35-2-85) shouldn't be a problem - since she would not be "only 9"! It only gets worse from here.  Nine plus 4 has always equaled 13 where I went to school, but it doesn't seem to in P*laceville.  Correct me if I'm wrong (and you usually do), but wasn't Stacy upset because she'd been declared an underachiever (95-6-89) at 14??  No wonder she never learned fractions!  You have to know how to count first!
*I'm not talking about discrepancies between character ages and actor ages - they never match up in this case.  The character of Stacy is given an age three distinct times, which shouldn't have been hard to double-check.

When Stacy dreams she meets the ghost of the P*lace (7-1-84), she confesses, "...sometimes, I feel left out and all alone myself." Well, apparently, Mr. Ghost wasn't listening, because he then says, "So you feel alone and left out too, like I do?" Yes! Isn't that what she just said!?!??! You're too stupid to get into the Ghost Society!

Flubs:

After Kid says one of my favorite lines, "But soft, who broke the window?" (59-3-86), when Samantha is yelling at him, she kind of loses her accent for a second.

Admittedly, Brendan Roberts brings out the worst in everyone.  So when he arranges a meeting with The Kid to give him test answers (62-3-86), it's understandable that Stacy would screw up her pronouns:
"We won't see you there.  Will he, Kid?" (it's hard to catch at first)

Sometimes, it's hard to tell who goofed.  When the Kids help Flip's odd financial advisor (116-7-91) realize she's completely wrong about The P*lace's income, they use an old medical drama gag ("Scalpel!" "Scalpel!" "Scalpel!"; "Flowchart!" "Flowchart!" "Flowchart!").  Towards the end there, it's either Robin or Ana who are too early or too late with "Wish her luck!" Ana, I believe, throws in another one just to make sure.
